Our Story
In 2002, eight churches united with a shared calling: to show the love of Jesus in Malawi by creating sustainable change alongside some of the world's most vulnerable communities. In 2007, Y-Malawi officially became a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
What began as a focused effort in a single region has grown into a far reaching movement. Today, we partner with churches of all denominations as well as organizations across the United States. Together we walk alongside our brothers and sisters in Malawi, now serving four major regions, home to nearly one million people.
Driven by a people centered approach to community development, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of stewardship and integrity.

Why the acacia tree?
